McPhee provided all the electrical work for this 475,000 square foot, four-story office building which serves as ING’s primary retirement services business and is the company’s largest business unit in the country.
The “green” building featured lighting, energy design, and construction that enabled ING to meet its goal of being carbon-neutral by the year’s end.
McPhee installed four 4000 Amp main switchboards fed from utility power, two 2000 Amp switchboards from Emergency generators, two 225kVA UPS, one 150kVA UPS and clean power distribution. Additionally, all branch power distribution and lighting for offices and general use was completed.
McPhee installed raceway systems, grounding, sleeving, cable trays for telecommunications and security systems as well as installed the fire alarm system for the facility. McPhee completed the project with approximately 40,000 man-hours through John Moriarty & Associates as the General Contractor of the project.
